This automotive grade ZAM steel adopts the classic 6%Al-3%Mg alloy formula, specially developed for automotive stamping and structural components. It has been widely used in European and North American automotive industries for body panels, inner structures and chassis parts.
Compared with traditional galvanized automotive steel, ZAM coating provides better perforation corrosion resistance and lower friction coefficient, which reduces die wear and improves stamping surface quality. The magnesium element in the coating effectively reduces welding spatter and improves welding efficiency and joint quality, making it ideal for automated automotive welding lines.
