Enabling Ultra‑High‑Strength Lightweighting
CNB supplies press‑hardenable aluminized silicon steel (commonly known by trade names such as Usibor®) for the hot stamping process. The Al‑Si coating protects the steel surface from oxidation and decarburization during austenitization at 900‑950°C, allowing the part to be quenched in the die to achieve full martensitic microstructure with tensile strengths of 1500 MPa or higher.
Process & Performance
Base Material: 22MnB5 (or equivalent) with tailored chemistry for hardenability.
Coating Weight: AS150 (150 g/m²) typical; AS80 also available for thinner gauges.
Final Properties: After hot stamping and die quenching, yield strength ~1100 MPa, tensile strength ~1500 MPa, elongation ~5‑7%.
Applications: Door intrusion beams, B‑pillar reinforcements, front and rear bumper beams, roof rail reinforcements, tunnel reinforcements.
Supply Form: We can supply coils, slit blanks, and laser‑welded tailored blanks.
