Product Introduction
Prepainted Galvanized Steel Coil (PPGI) – Durable, Corrosion-Resistant, Customizable Colors for Roofing & Cladding

Product Overview

Prepainted Galvanized Steel (PPGI) is produced by coating a hot-dip galvanized steel substrate with a high-performance paint system through a continuous roll-coating process. The base steel provides excellent strength and corrosion resistance (zinc coating range: Z40–Z275 g/m²), while the topcoat delivers aesthetic appeal and additional protection against weathering, chemicals, and UV radiation. Our PPGI coils are manufactured with strict quality control, offering consistent thickness, flatness, and color uniformity. They are widely used in building construction, roofing, wall panels, household appliances, and light industry.

Coating HardnessPass MEK test (≥50 rubs) and T-bend test (0T–3T) per international standards

Core Advantages

  1. Superior Corrosion Resistance – The zinc layer (Z40–Z275) protects the steel from rust, while the paint film adds a barrier against moisture and chemicals. Salt spray test (SST) performance meets 240–1000 hours depending on coating system.

  2. Excellent Formability – The paint system withstands bending, stamping, and profiling without cracking or peeling (T-bend as low as 0T for thin films).

  3. Long Service Life – Choose PVDF or SMP for up to 20+ years of outdoor durability with minimal fading and chalking.

  4. Aesthetic Versatility – Available in a wide spectrum of RAL colors, gloss levels, and decorative patterns (e.g., wood grain, embossed).

  5. Cost-Effective – Lighter than solid metal sheets, easy to install, and reduces maintenance costs over the building lifecycle.

Applications

  • Building & Construction: Roofing sheets, wall cladding, ceiling panels, garage doors, shutters.

  • Industrial: Ventilation ducts, silos, storage tanks, workshops.

  • Household Appliances: Refrigerator panels, microwave ovens, air conditioner housings.

  • Agricultural: Poultry houses, greenhouses, livestock shelters.

  • Automotive & Transportation: Interior trims, trailer panels.

Quality Assurance & Testing

All our PPGI products undergo rigorous inspection per international standards:

  • MEK Rub Test – to evaluate solvent resistance (≥50 rubs without bare metal).

  • T‑Bend Test – to measure paint adhesion and flexibility (0T–3T acceptable).

  • Salt Spray Test (SST) – to confirm corrosion protection (e.g., 240h for PE, up to 1000h for PVDF).

  • Impact Test – to ensure coating integrity under mechanical stress.

  • Color Difference (ΔE) – controlled within ≤2.0 for batch consistency.
